| GUEST CURATOR: ISRAEL ALPIZAR |
 |
AT ST PAUL'S CULTURAL CENTER, 2215 WEST NORTH AVENUE 7PM
In the next Wicker ParkNights
evening, Israel Alpizar is the guest curator, and his theme is, as the
title says, "The end of days: the res- -urrection of the artist in all of
us. Israel is chosing the bands and other talents, all of whose
ideas
are related to his theme. His ideas about art are based on sacred
geometry. Sacred geometry
may be understood as a worldview
of

| pattern recognition, a complex system of
of religious sym-bols and
structures involv-ing space, time and form. According to this belief the
basic patterns of existence are perceived as sacred. By connecting with |

these, a believer contemplates the Mys-terium Magnum,
and the Great Design. By studying the nature of hese patterns, forms
and relationships and heir connections, insight may be gained into the
mysteries – the laws and lore of the Universe.
Please check back for more information on this extraordinary evening: we will set the date shortly, as well as the date for the jam session evening. Artists and Members will be notified via email. |
